The interior, though a little toned from age, is clean and unmarked, except for a previous owner s name and date (1877) on the front free endpaper.
The original red cloth shows some rubbing to the extremities, and a few stained spots on the upper board where the gilt lettering, with decoration, is bright and clear on the darkened spine the gilt lettering is a bit dulled, though still legible.
